A unique character string assigned to every spatial area in a union of the
US Land Use/Land Cover (1990 urban-enhanced) Digital Geography and the Coastal
Assessment Framework. Composed of a concatenation of each polygon's EDASUBEDA code, in
parenthesis, and its land use name (LUSE_NM). |
| *LUSE_CODE |
Land Use Code, The finest level of detail. The 2-digit USGS
1st level land use classification code. Range is from 1 to 99. |
| *LUSE_NM |
Land Use Name, The finest level of detail. A character string
for USGS 1st level land use classification code. |
| *LUSE_GROUP |
Land Use Group Code, A lessor level of detail than LUSE_CODE. The
2-digit USGS 2nd level land use classification code. Range is from 10 to 90. |
| *LUSE_GRPNM |
Land Use Group Name, A lessor level of detail than LUSE_NM. A
character string for USGS 2nd level land use classification code. |
| EDASUBEDA |
A code assigned to each derived spatial area (e.g., an EDA or
CDA). Concatenated from the EDACDA attribute and SUBEDA attribute. |
| SUB_NAME |
For EDAs with component sub-major watershed drainages (subEDAs) defined
(e.g., the Chesapeake Bay), a subEDA specific name. |
| AREA_MI2 |
Area of polygon in square statute miles (calculated from geographies in
Albers equal-area conic projection; minor distortion above and below standard parallels). |
| POLYCLAS |
Polygon type for major watershed area (e.g., an Estuarine Drainage Area,
Coastal Drainage Area, Fluvial Drainage Area, Interior Drainage Area, etc.). |
